Day 01
Meet and greet in Kalaw. Explore colorful market and some of the old colonial buildings. Visit Hnee Paya (Bamboo Buddha Image) and then transfer to the lodge. Enjoy daily activities which includes a visit to the farm house and organic garden. Dinner and overnight at Kalaw Hill Resort. (_, _D)
Overnight Kalaw Hill Lodge
Day 02
Breakfast and head south, walking through protected pine forests along mule trails to Lutpyin, a village perched on the side of a hill. Trek further down to Taunggyiche and then towards base of Myin Ma Hti Mountain to enjoy stunning views of the Shan valley. Explore winding complex of natural caves and tunnels, filled with Buddha Images in an astonishing variety of shapes and sizes. After lunch, bike along the back road to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at lodge. Total walking hour 3, biking hour 2. (B, L, D)
Overnight Kalaw Hill Lodge
Day 03
Breakfast and visit local Buddhist monastery, walk to Nanthe (Danu) village. Visit a library donated by the lodge and interact with locals over a cup of green tea here. Walk to Nanthe (Nepalese) village, explore the village and taste their unique delicacies like rice wine and plum wine. From here transfer by minivan to Kalaw to complete this unique experience.
