Yangon  : Buddhist & Colonial Heritage in the Garden City of Asia 
 Mandalay :  The Last Kingdom of Myanmar, and Romantic City of History & Cultural Center
 Amarapura : Situated about 11km south of Mandalay, Amarapura (meaning the Immortal City) is an 
ancient city of the Konbaung Dynasty.It is noted for its silk weaving industry, the 
ancient silver smith cottage industry in Ywahtaung just beyond the city limits as well as 
for its unique teakwood bridge, 1.2 km long, known as U Pein Bridge, that spans the 
Taungthaman Lake, which dries in the summer.

DAY 1: INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL, YANGON SIGHTSEEING

Welcome to Myanmar! Upon arrival at the Yangon airport, your local tour guide will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel for check-in and free at leisure until late afternoon.

Before sunset, you will pay a visit to the golden Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the wonders in the world and noted for its religious significance and artistic beauty. After the welcome dinner dance show, you will pass by the Shwedagon Pagoda illuminated by beautiful lights.

DAY 2: YANGON – MANDALAY (FLIGHT)

Today take a morning flight to Mandalay, the last royal capital of Myanmar and is consider the center of Burmese culture. Upon arrival, proceed to the town of Amarapura, meaning of city of immortality and once the capital city of Myanmar during the Konbaung Dynasty. Visit Mahagandayon Monastery, the largest teaching monastery in Myanmar. Continue to visit City Harbor Bridge and then have lunch.

In the afternoon visit a nunnery in the Sagaing Hill where nearly one thousand nuns live and study Buddhist scriptures. We then take a boat to view the sunset at the world’s longest teak bridge - the U Bein Bridge over the enchanting Taungthaman Lake.

DAY 3: MANDALAY – BAGAN (FERRY CRUISE)

Early morning transfer to jetty and board on public ferry for Bagan. RV. Malikha departs Mandalay at (07:00) (check in time 06:30, time to depart your hotel 06:00). Along the way, witness the idyllic way of life that epitomizes parts of rural Myanmar in the form of the small fishing villages that lie along the riverbanks. There is an opportunity to explore one of the riverside villages that could only be visited by riverine journey.

Upon arrival at Bagan jetty transfer to your hotel. Bagan, one of the most impressive archaeological
wonders of Asia and an ancient city from 11th to 13th centuries where over 10000 Buddhist temples, pagoda and monasteries were dotted.

Due to the unpredictable nature of ferry operations on the Ayeyarwady River between April and October, it is possible that some services may be cancelled. Some of these cancellations may take place at the last minute and often without warning. If this is the case it may be necessary to fly between Mandalay and Bagan.

 

DAY 4: BAGAN SIGHTSEEING

After the breakfast at the hotel, start to visit the lively colorful market town of Nyaung U and Bagan’s most significant shrines - the Shwezigon Pagoda built in 1087 and also the prototype of later Myanmar Stupa and Htilominlo Temple is known for its elaborate plaster moldings dated 1211AD.

In the afternoon, pay a visit to a lacquer-ware workshop to see Myanmar’s most treasured handicrafts before exploring the amazing mural paintings at the Myingaba Gu Byaukgyi Temple near Wetkyi-in village North East of old Bagan was built by King Kyanzittha in the early 12th century. Later on, watch the sunset over the one of the ruined pagoda.

DAY 5:BAGAN – HEHO – INLE LAKE (FLIGHT)

After breakfast take the flight to Heho and drive to Inle Lake for hotel check-in. Then head for the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the most famous one in Inle Lake region. Pay a visit to a local village to see the production of traditional silks on wooden handlooms and iron ware. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 6: INLE LAKE DISCOVERY

After breakfast, sightseeing by boat to ShweIndein Pagoda Complex, one of the small villages of Inle Lake which has the pagoda and hundreds of stupa built in the 8th century and rows of shops are famous and can see the unique rowing style of fishermen at Inle.

DAY 7: INLE LAKE – HEHO – YANGON (FLIGHT)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Heho airport for the flight to Yangon. Transfer to hotel and last shopping at Bogyoke Aung San Market which is a delight to explore which offer to buy many things like gems, goods, Myanmar traditional dress, souvenir and galleries, etc. Find some exotic souvenirs there. Have a stroll at Maha Bandoola Park to see colonial-style high court and city hall around Sule Pagoda. Then head to the Bohtataung jetty. Board the cruise to watch the beautiful sunset over Yangon river, enjoying buffet dinner. Taking a Yangon river cruise, you will have a chance to immerse in a peaceful rhythm of local life in Myanmar, discover the primitive beauty along the banks and enjoy the sunset looking itself on the river surface of Yangon golden city. Afterward, return to the hotel.

DAY 8: YANGON, DEPARTURE

After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time till your tour guide escort you to the airport for your departure flight. Meals: (B/-/-)
